Stephen, Owner of Stephen Anthony Roofline based in Hyde attended #SBSevent2016 at The ICC in Birmingham on Friday to collect his award.

The Tameside based firm received a business boost from Retail Entrepreneur Theo Paphitis. Back in November, Stephen Potter owner of Stephen               AnthonyRoofline, tweeted Theo about his business during ‘Small Business Sunday’, an initiative set up by Theo that runs weekly. Theo retweeted Stephen’s message to his 497,000 followers and as a result, the business S A Roofline  http://www.saroofline.co.uk
has 1100 more followers and lots of quotation requests. They are also profiled on Theo's website http://www.theopaphitissbs.com
that is exclusive to Small Business Sunday winners.

Theo, (of Dragon's Den fame and owner of Rymans, Boux Avenue and Robert Dyas) started the initiative back in 2010. Sitting in his kitchen on a Sunday evening looking something up on twitter he realised it was an excellent tool for businesses to market themselves and be seen and heard easily. That Sunday he tweeted that the first 6 small business to tweet him would get a RT and in turn be given exposure to Theo's thousands of followers, what he didn't expect was the huge response from small businesses and from that #SBS (Small Business Sunday) was born.

Stephen said, “Although I have 10 years experience in the UPVC industry I only started up my own business in the last year. It is great to have support from
Theo because it’s been tough trying to raise our profile as a new small business in Tameside and Theo has recognised our hard work and helped spread the
word about what we do to his following. Not only this we are now part of the Small Business Sunday network and all of the businesses are supportive of each other which is a great to be part of. We also got to meet Theo himself at the annual event exclusively for #SBS winners and collect our award.

Theo was joined at the annual event by the inspirational Mike Pickles from Really Useful Box Company and Holly Tucker founder of Not On The High Street.com Theo, Mike and Holly all passionate about small businesses as they too started off this way
gave the #SBS winners invaluable advice and tips on success.

Stephen, along with fellow winners left the event full of ideas to continue to grow and make his business a success.
