The Tour of Tameside will return in 2016 and will take place from Friday 16th until 19th of June.
This iconic running event was created in the 1980s by legendary marathon runner Dr Ron Hill MBE. More than 500 runners took part last year, which was reborn after a 14 year absence in 2015. The new version of the original week-long Tour was a huge hit.

Stage 1 of the Tour of Tameside will take runners on a 6 mile journey through the hills above Copley.

Stage 2 of the Tour of Tameside will take runners on a 13.1 mile half marathon race journey trough the Longdendale Trail.

The final stage of the Tour of Tameside will take runners on a 7 mile road race marathon race through Hyde and the surrounding area.

You can join any of the individual Tour of Tameside stages as a standalone entry or can also run all of the stages over the course of the event period.
