TAMESIDE’S latest leisure attraction is bound to put a spring in your step.
Total Adrenaline will be home to the borough’s first ever trampoline park including obstacle arena, laser quest, iPLAY Zone (soft play centre) and café.
The attraction, due to open in the autumn at the site previously known as Active Longdendale, is part of the £20m investment from Tameside Council and Active Tameside into getting the borough more physically active.
The investment will also see Active Dukinfield becoming iTRAIN Gym a brand new state-of-the-art gym with over 150 stations, 4 exercise studios, iPLAY Zone and Café opening around November.
A new 25m pool at Hyde will also be opening next year with Tameside’s new Wellness Centre based in Denton aiming to open in 2018. The Wellness Centre will include lanes, a ten-pin bowling alley, a swimming pool with spectator area as well as a learner’s pool, a 60 station gym suite, exercise studios, soft play, multi-sensory suite, a café, consulting rooms and space for partners and community groups.
The investment also includes a programme of repairs to replace the synthetic pitch surfaces, repair drainage and upgrade the AstroTurf panels at Active Copley, replace the roof at Active Medlock and replace the wave machine at Active Hyde.
Tameside Council Executive Member Cllr Ged Cooney, who is responsible for health and leisure, said: “Total Adrenaline - together with Sky High Adventure Centre, Hyde Leisure Pool, The Wellness Centre and the investment planned for our other active facilities - really will make Tameside stand out for its fantastic leisure attractions.
“We want to support local people and families in keeping as active and healthy as possible and this will bring even more exciting activities and options to help them.”
