Droylsden Easter Market was once again another huge success this year, as crowds of shoppers and families once again flooded into the town centre to enjoy the festivities in Villemomble Square from Wednesday 1 to Saturday 4 April. Organisers are now looking to extend it for more days next year following positive feedback from traders and visitors.
The event, is now in its second year, and is held in partnership with Droyslden Town Team. Visitors enjoyed a big wheel, Punch and Judy shows and an ice rink as well as an array of stalls,live entertainment, a bar and children’s rides.
There was a special easter service, organised by Droylsden Churches Together, followed by an Easter Bonnet competition.
Local trader Ashlie Hulme, owner of Bespoke Flowers, said: “It was lovely to see the Easter market back in Droylsden with so many visitors and shoppers in the town centre. I have been very busy over the Easter period, the Easter market has helped to boost my sales and helped to raise my profile".
