Droylsden's newest chillout venue for young people goes from strength to strength

Prime Youth Club, located in the Concorde Suite in Droylsden, was opened in February 2011. The inspiration behind Prime came from Club Delta which was ran by PC Chris Hayden in 2009 and has been a massive success ever since.

The Youth club for 11 to 16 year olds in Droylsden and the surrounding areas meets twice a week and provides a wide range of activities in a safe caring environment. These activities range from Xbox, Nintendo Wii, Fifa Tournament, arts and crafts, laptops/internet cafe, dance machine, arcade car racing and DJ in music systems.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Prime also provide trips and residentials for the young people. During the last couple of years they have put on trips to the Skate station in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Britains Got Talent, Challenge 4 Change, Alston Adventure Centre and Laser Quest.

The club is run by dedicated volunteers headed by Susie North and works in partnership with with Tameside Youth Scheme, TMBC and GMP. It also receives funding from Forever Manchester and equipment from Fair Share.
