Church leaders at Holy Trinity Church Ashton have decided to call time on sunday services for the first time in its 135 year old history.

Team rector Rev.Roger Farnworth said "sadly, the Sunday Congregation has got to the end of its life

and we are struggling to keep going. For the last few years only 10 people have been there on a regular basis"

Midweek services at the church will continue as will the St.Peters Youth activities.

A final Eucharist at Holy Trinity will be held on Sunday September 1st at 3pm.

A number of past and present Priests will be in attendance and everyone is welcome.
