Hyde mum Jane Haddow who is set to represent England in the World Body Building Championships, she was invited to travel to Warsaw, Poland to represent her country after she was placed in three competitions.
Mum of three Jane from Gee Cross, who only took up Body Building 12 months ago, said
“I’ve always liked to keep myself in shape and look after myself,” Jane said. “Once I’d had my twins I started going back to the gym just a couple of mornings when they were in play school and it escalated from there.
“People used to say to me: ‘You should compete’, but I never thought I’d have the confidence to get up on stage.”
Jane trains five days a week to compete in the ‘Body Fitness’ and ‘Miss Figure’ categories, just before the competitions she increases this to six days and puts herself on a strict diet to reduce her body fat. She does this all herself with no help from a personal trainer or bodybuilding experts.
She went on to say
“Juggling kids and training is exhausting, especially when you’re on your low carb diet, you have no energy and it’s a long day, I’m up at six every day, but I’m a very strong willed person".
Jane's husband Neil, son Jack and twins Katie and Joseph are very supportive of her
She said: “My family are brilliant and so supportive. I can hear them in the crowd shouting and spurring me on".
Jane hopes her success will help inspire other mums looking to get into shape and she added “Nothing is impossible. When you’ve got children a lot of women use it as an excuse for putting on weight but it’s not the case, if you want to do something you can do it".
