Scott Spencer earned the Tigers a point at Ewen Fields scoring his 20th goal of the season, keeping them in 10th place in the Northern Premier, Premier Divsion.
Both sides struggled early on in the game due to the atrocious conditions. Hyde broke the deadlock just before the end of the first half scoring a penalty after Ayrton Bevins was brought down in the Frickley box.
The rain continued during the second half to make the game even more difficult for both sides. The last quarter of the game saw the Tigers pushing forward for the winner. In this period, Spencer came closest as he found a few yards of space in the box, but completely blazed his shot high and wide much to the fans disappointment.
The game ended in a stalemate, but just before the final whistle there was a huge chance for Hyde to win the game from a beautifully placed cross from Burke across the penalty area, but with the onrushing Hyde players slightly out of reach, it came to nothing, and the 1-1 scoreline remained as the final whistle went.
