Disabled youngsters seek to raise funds after arsonists destroy their bikes

Disabled youngsters from Bennett Street Youth Centre in Hyde have decided to raise the £40,000 needed for new speciallly adapted bikes after arsonists torched twenty nine bikes stored in a metal container at the community centre.

A fund has been set up to replace the bikes and Dave Crawford the centre manager (pictured above), said  " it was great that there were young people out there who want to take on extra responsibilty like this. "

Two boys aged 12 and 13 have been arrested on suspicion of arson and anyone with information or who would like to make a donation should call the police on 0161 856 9484.
