IF you want to end the year with a new career, there’s no better place to start than the next Tameside Jobs Fair.
It’s open to all, no matter their age, and there’s no need to book – just turn up on the day.
As well as job vacancies the event will offer the chance to speak to employers to discuss career prospects. Information about training, skills and adult learning will also be available.
Firms who have agreed to attend include: Able Care, BSS LED, G4S Security, Greater Manchester Police, Ikea, National Health Service, North West Ambulance Service, O2, People Plus (Enterprise Allowance providers), Poundland, Safety Guide, Tameside Adult and Community Education and Tameside Council Exchequer Services.
All of them will be looking to fill vacancies on the day, so don’t forget your CV. If you don’t have one, you can sign up for Tameside Adult and Community Education’s “Getting the BEST from your CV” starting on Tuesday, September 19. For more information, or to sign up, call 0161 342 4063.
Tameside Council’s executive member for health, housing and economic growth, Cllr Ged Cooney, said: “Our past fairs have all been very successful, with plenty of people managing to find permanent employment.
“If you’re looking for a job opportunity or a chance to change employment, I would strongly encourage you to come along to this event and see if you can end your year with a new career.”
Tameside Jobs Fair takes place at New Charter Group, Cavendish 249, Cavendish Street, Ashton, OL6 7AT, on Wednesday, September 27, 11am to 2pm. The event is being promoted by Tameside Council, New Charter Homes, Jobcentre Plus and Peak Valley Housing.
