Over one hundred entries have already been received for the "Pride of Tameside Business Awards".
The awards are spilt into nine categories, apprentice, manufacturing and service, business of the year, digital business, giving something back award, retail buisiness of vthe year, start up business. Community engagement and Buy with Confidence awards are decided by Community and Voluntary Action Tameside, and Tameside Trading Standards Authority.
The chair of the business awards, Louise Marshall said "we've had far more entries than in previous years and there is strong competition in all categories".
The winners will be announced at the Jubilee Hall, Dukenfield on Friday June 6th. Sponsors include Brother Uk, Carillion, New Charter Housing, Tameside College, Tameside Council and the Sports Trust.
