We know that the Voluntary Sector in Tameside and Glossop already do a huge amount to improve the health and wellbeing of local people. This workshop event will:
Give you the chance to hear from local leaders – Steven Pleasant, Chief Executive of Tameside Council, and Karen James, Chief Executive of Tameside Hospital
Provide information about the Care Together Programme. Explore the activity that is currently undertaken by the Voluntary Sector Identify future opportunities.
Care Together is the local approach to improving Health and Social Care across Tameside and Glossop. It involves bringing together Social Care, Community Healthcare, Hospital Services, the Voluntary, Community and Faith Sector and local people to fundamentally rethink the way in which services are provided locally.
The event will run 3.30pm-6pm and close with a light buffet. The event takes place in the Lecture Theatre, Werneth House, Tameside General Hospital. Werneth House is opposite A&E, close to the multi-storey car park.
