Mossley were narrowly defeated in the Boxing Day clash with Glossop North End at their Surrey Street ground.
A bumper crowd of 486 watched a scrappy game with few chances at either end in the first half.

The deadlock was broken in the 70th minute when Glossop's Ben Deegan got on the end of a right wing cross from the right and headed the ball into the back of the net. The Lilywhites staged a late rally but were unable to pull the score level.
