Hyde Fc were hammered 8-0 by Forest Green Rovers in their opening game of the Skrill Premier League.
Marcus Kelly gave Forest Green the lead in the 25th minute and Forest Green went into a 4-0 lead at half time. Things were not much better in the second half as Kelly completed his hat-trick in the 76th minute to make the score 8-0.
In pre-season friendlies Ashton Utd won 1-0 at New mills, Droylsden lost 3-0 at home to Northwich Victoria, Stalybridge Celtic lost 2-1 to F.C United and Mossley drew 0-0 with Chorley.
