Visitor numbers at Droylsden's Easter market surpassed all expectations, as the 3 day event organised by Droylsden Town team and Tameside Council was a massive hit with the locals at times it seemed as if half the population of Droylsden were there. People were able to browse over 24 stalls selling all types of food and goods.
The children's area proved particularly popular as youngsters could take a look at the animals or try their hands at archery. There was planty of entertainment including a special Saturday Easter Service organised by churches in Droylsden. Cllr. Kieran Quinn said " everyone was very busy and the shops in the Droylsden Centre said it was their busiest for years."
