STALYBRIDGE residents flocked to a community consultation event to have their say on the town’s exciting future.

Saturday’s (6) drop-in event at Stalybridge Market Hall gave the opportunity to find out more about the Stalybridge Town Centre Challenge and have an input.

More than 170 people attended and their views are now being analysed and incorporated into the overall plan for the town centre.

It’s not too late to have your say as all the information available at the event and an online survey to share your views is now available at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/stalybridgetcc. The deadline to complete the survey is 21 October.

Stalybridge was announced as Tameside’s nominee for the Mayor of Greater Manchester’s Town Centre Challenge earlier this year.

It brings together housing providers, public and private landowners, developers, community groups and other key stakeholders to support Tameside Council in unlocking the town centre’s potential, particularly to deliver a viable housing market and sustainable community.

It’s a great opportunity to design a unique vision for regeneration in Stalybridge that creates the ideal place to live, shop and do business.

The Town Challenge Partnership Board would like to thank everyone who attended for
