Kalpna Mistry a science teacher from Ashton-Under-Lyne has reached the last eight of Channel 4's "The Taste" programme.
The Show is a cross between Masterchef and The Voice, Nigella Lawson and Anthony Bourdain and critically acclaimed chef Ludo Lefebvre search for the winner of the competition where the only thing that counts is taste, each challenge involves cooking just one mouthful enough to fit on a spoon. Kalpna's confidence has grown with each show and she sites her Indian and Gujarati influences as helping her pass the taste tests. Your Tameside keeps it's fingers crossed for Kalpna!
