Tameside artist Chris Cyprus is creating over 100 street scenes featuring traditional lighting.
His project has to be finished before the end of 2015 because the old yellow street lights are being replaced with new brighter eco-friendly white LED lights.
Chris is keen to capture the hazy warm glow of the old lights for posterity before the lighting systems come in. He describes the moment when light turns into day as "magical"with the colours created by the traditional lights making an amazing backdrop.
Chris's mission is well on track as he has completed his 91st painting and is planning out his last nine from his studio at Woodland Mill Mossley.
